IT AMC in Dubai
VOWTECH provides annual IT maintenance contracts for offices in Dubai, delivered from our base in Abu Dhabi. Your systems are watched remotely between visits, engineers attend your premises on a planned calendar, and staff have a helpdesk to call. It is a good fit for SMEs and free-zone companies without an IT department.
Annual IT Maintenance for Dubai, Delivered from Abu Dhabi
A maintenance contract is about routine, and most routine IT maintenance today is done over a network connection. Updates are pushed remotely. Backup results arrive as reports. A disk that is filling up or a server that has stopped responding raises an alert. None of that requires an engineer to be in the same building, which is why an Abu Dhabi-based company can maintain a Dubai office effectively.
The physical side — cleaning and inspecting equipment, checking UPS batteries, tidying the rack, replacing worn hardware — is collected into planned visits that are entered in the calendar when the contract begins. Between visits, staff are supported through remote technical support. We do not have a Dubai office, and the contract says plainly how a fault call-out to your site is requested and handled.
Our main AMC support page explains annual contracts in general; this page covers how they work for Dubai specifically. Companies that want more than maintenance — continuous security management, reporting and IT planning — should compare an AMC with managed IT services in Dubai. For the basic question of contract or no contract, read IT AMC vs ad-hoc IT support.
How a Dubai AMC Is Put Together
The contract has three layers. The first runs all the time, the second follows a calendar and the third is there for the unexpected.
Continuous Remote Layer
Monitoring agents on servers and key computers report their health, while the helpdesk handles staff requests by remote session. This layer does most of the work in a modern office.
Planned Visit Layer
An engineer travels to your Dubai premises on dates agreed in advance, with a checklist and the list of small jobs saved up since the previous visit.
Fault Call-Out Layer
When hardware fails between planned visits, the fault is diagnosed remotely and an engineer is sent to site. The contract defines how these visits are requested and whether they are included or chargeable.
What the Contract Covers — Remotely and On Site
Each line below appears in the contract schedule, marked as remote, on-site or both, so there is no doubt about how it will be delivered.
Server & Network Monitoring
Servers, firewalls and internet links are watched for outages, low disk space, failed services and hardware warnings, so that many problems are known about before staff notice them.
Patch Management
Operating system and application updates are approved and deployed centrally, and computers that fall behind are followed up rather than forgotten.
Backup Monitoring
Every backup job is checked, failures are investigated and periodic test restores are carried out. See cloud backup and disaster recovery if your current backup needs improving.
User Helpdesk
Staff contact the helpdesk directly for logins, email, printing, software and Microsoft 365 issues, without first having to go through an office manager.
Power & Cabinet Inspection
On each visit the UPS battery state and load, cabinet ventilation, dust and patch cabling are inspected. See UPS systems if batteries are near the end of their life.
Documentation & Visit Reports
An asset list, network diagram and credential record are maintained for the Dubai site, and every visit ends with a short written report of findings and recommendations.
How Coverage Works Across Two Emirates
Whether the contract covers Dubai alone or Dubai and Abu Dhabi together, it is assembled in the same way.
Survey Each Site
An engineer visits your Dubai office, and your Abu Dhabi office if you have one, to record the equipment and its condition.
One Schedule per Site
The contract lists each location separately, with its own asset list, so cover at each address is unambiguous.
Connect Monitoring
Monitoring and secure remote access are installed with your approval and tested from our Abu Dhabi base.
Set the Visit Calendar
Planned visit dates are set for each site, taking account of building access rules and your working hours.
Review Before Renewal
Before the year ends we review requests, visit reports and asset changes, and adjust the scope for renewal.
Why an AMC Suits Dubai SMEs and Free-Zone Companies
Smaller companies have the same dependence on IT as large ones, but without the headcount to look after it.
No IT Department Required
An AMC gives a small team access to engineers and a helpdesk without the cost of employing a full-time administrator.
Predictable Annual Budget
Maintenance labour is one agreed figure for the year, which is easier to plan around than irregular call-out invoices.
Building Access Planned Ahead
Many towers and free-zone buildings require contractor access to be arranged beforehand. Planned visits make that routine.
Scope That Grows with You
New staff, extra equipment or a second location are added to the schedule rather than needing a new agreement.
