Business Email Without a Mail Server to Babysit
Exchange Online is the hosted email service inside Microsoft 365, still widely called Office 365. Mailboxes, calendars and contacts live in the Microsoft cloud rather than on a server in your office, so there is no mail server to patch, no disk to fill up and no dependence on the office internet line for staff working elsewhere.
The licence is the easy part. The work is in the move: preparing DNS records, copying years of mail without losing folders, reconnecting Outlook and phones, and making sure shared mailboxes and distribution lists still behave. A new tenant is not secure by default in the ways most businesses assume. We enable multi-factor authentication, tighten sharing, and set up sender authentication so your domain is harder to spoof, then add anti-phishing protection on top. Licences themselves can be arranged through our software licensing service.
Three Common Starting Points
The route to Exchange Online depends on what you run today. Each of these needs a slightly different plan.
From an On-Premise Exchange Server
An ageing mail server in the office is moved to Exchange Online in batches. Mail keeps flowing to both sides during the move, and the old server is retired once everyone is across.
From Hosted or Webmail Accounts
Companies using basic hosting email or a mix of personal-style accounts are consolidated onto proper business mailboxes under the company domain, with existing mail copied over.
New Company or New Office
A clean Microsoft 365 tenant built properly from the first day: domain verified, users and groups created, Teams and file storage structured, and security settings applied before anyone logs in.

Tenant, Domain & DNS
We create or tidy the tenant, verify your domain and publish the MX, SPF, DKIM and DMARC records that route mail correctly and help receiving servers trust it.
Mailbox Migration
Mail, calendars and contacts are copied from the old system, checked for completeness and cut over at an agreed time, usually outside working hours.
Teams, SharePoint & OneDrive
Teams and channels, SharePoint document libraries and OneDrive folder sync are structured around your departments so files stop living in email attachments.
Identity & Email Security
Multi-factor authentication, conditional access, external sharing limits and mail filtering policies are configured to match how your staff work and travel.
Outlook & Mobile Setup
Outlook profiles on PCs and mail on phones and tablets are reconnected to the new mailboxes, with device policies applied where company data is involved.
Ongoing Administration
New starters, leavers, licence changes, shared mailboxes, distribution lists and password or sign-in problems are handled by our helpdesk as they come up.
From Old Mailboxes to Exchange Online

Inventory
We list every mailbox, alias, shared mailbox, group and device, and note mailbox sizes and anything unusual.
Tenant Preparation
The tenant, domain, users and licences are prepared and security baselines are applied in advance.
Data Copy
Mail is copied in the background while staff keep working on the old system as normal.
Cutover
DNS is switched, a final sync picks up recent mail, and Outlook and phones are reconnected.
