Wireless Access Point Solutions
Reliable office Wi-Fi comes from the right number of access points in the right places, cabled properly and managed as one system. VOWTECH surveys, supplies, installs and configures wireless access points for offices, warehouses, clinics, shops and hospitality venues in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and across the UAE.
Why Office Wi-Fi Disappoints, and How to Fix It
Poor Wi-Fi usually has a simple cause: a single wireless router in one corner trying to serve a whole floor, or consumer range extenders that repeat a weak signal at half the speed. Walls, glass partitions, metal racking and neighbouring networks all take their share, and the meeting room at the far end is where it shows.
Business access points solve this differently. Several units are mounted on ceilings or walls, each cabled back to a network switch that also powers it. They broadcast the same network names and are managed together, so devices move from one to the next as people walk around without the connection dropping.
VOWTECH plans the layout from your floor plan and a site visit, installs the structured cabling each access point needs, and configures staff, guest and device networks with appropriate security. Once installed, the system can be looked after through our wireless equipment management service.
Different Buildings, Different Wireless Designs
The same access point behaves very differently in an open-plan office and a racked warehouse. Design follows the environment.
Offices & Clinics
Dense areas with many laptops, phones and video calls in a small space. The design priority is capacity: enough access points, on sensible channels, that no single unit is overloaded during a busy meeting.
Warehouses & Industrial Sites
High ceilings, metal racking and moving stock make coverage unpredictable. Handheld scanners and forklift terminals need a steady signal down every aisle, not just near the office.
Retail, Hospitality & Guest Wi-Fi
Visitors expect Wi-Fi, and the business needs it kept well away from tills and back-office systems. Guest access is isolated, time-limited and presented through a simple branded sign-in page.
From Survey to Working Wi-Fi
Supply, installation and configuration handled as one job, so there is no gap between the hardware and how it is set up.
Wireless Site Survey
We assess the building, measure existing signal and interference, and decide how many access points are needed and where they should go.
Access Point Supply
Indoor, outdoor and high-density access points are recommended to suit the environment and supplied with the mounting hardware and licences they need.
Mounting, Cabling & PoE
Each access point is mounted securely, cabled to the rack and powered over the network cable, with the switch power budget checked beforehand.
Controller or Cloud Management
All access points are adopted into one management platform so settings are applied once and the whole wireless network can be seen from a single screen.
Network Names & Security
Staff Wi-Fi uses strong encryption and, where suitable, individual logins. Guest and device networks are separated with their own rules.
Roaming & Channel Tuning
Channels and transmit power are adjusted so neighbouring access points do not interfere, and devices hand over cleanly as users move.
How a Wi-Fi Installation Runs
Measure first, install second, then measure again to prove the result.
Survey
We walk the site with your floor plan and note construction, problem areas and device numbers.
Wireless Design
Access point positions, models, cabling and switch ports are set out in a proposal.
Installation
Cable runs are installed and access points mounted with minimal disturbance to staff.
Configuration
Network names, security, guest access and management are configured and documented.
Coverage Verification
Signal and speed are checked throughout the premises and positions adjusted if needed.
What Properly Planned Wi-Fi Gives You
Users judge the whole IT department by the Wi-Fi. Getting it right is worth the planning.
Signal Where People Work
Coverage is designed for meeting rooms, corners and upper floors, not just the area near the comms cupboard.
Calls That Survive a Walk
Coordinated access points let devices roam without dropping a voice or video call.
Guests Kept Apart
Visitors get internet access and nothing else; business systems stay on a separate network.
Simple to Extend
A managed system grows by adding an access point, not by starting again.
