Office IT Setup & Relocation
Opening a new office or moving to another one? VOWTECH plans and delivers the IT side of the project for businesses in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and across the UAE — cabling, network, Wi-Fi, server room, workstations and printers — so staff can sit down and work when the doors open.
IT That Is Ready Before Your Staff Arrive
An office move has many moving parts — landlord approvals, fit-out contractors, furniture, internet lines — and IT depends on almost all of them. When IT is considered last, the result is desks without data points, a server in a cupboard with no cooling, and a first week spent chasing faults instead of working.
VOWTECH joins the project early. We review the floor plan, mark data points and Wi-Fi positions, plan the comms room and coordinate with the fit-out contractor so that structured cabling goes in before ceilings close. For a relocation we also document the existing setup, so everything that works today is reproduced at the new address.
On move day our engineers disconnect, label, reconnect and test equipment in an agreed order, usually over a weekend or evening to limit disruption. Once the office is running, the same team can look after it under an IT annual maintenance contract or through IT support in Abu Dhabi.
New Office, Relocation or Expansion
The work differs depending on whether you are starting from an empty shell, moving a working office or adding space to an existing one.
New Office IT Setup
For a first office or a new branch. We design the network, advise on internet lines and equipment, and deliver a complete working environment from the comms cabinet to each desk.
Office IT Relocation
For an established office moving to new premises. The priority is continuity: the same systems, the same access, the same printers — working on the first morning in the new location.
Expansion & Refit
For companies taking an extra floor, adding meeting rooms or rearranging departments. Existing infrastructure is extended rather than replaced, and weak points are corrected along the way.
Everything the Office Needs to Get Online
One team covers the full chain, so you are not coordinating a cabling contractor, a network engineer and a desktop technician separately.
Structured Cabling
Data and voice cabling to each desk, printer, access point and camera position, terminated in a labelled patch panel and tested point by point.
Network & Wi-Fi
Switches, router, firewall and wireless access points installed and configured, with separate networks for staff, guests and devices where appropriate.
Comms Room & Servers
Rack, power protection and ventilation planned for the equipment you have. Servers and storage are moved or installed, then checked against the last backup.
Workstations & Printers
Computers, monitors, docking stations, printers and scanners are placed, connected and tested at each desk, with printers mapped for the right departments.
Telephony & Meeting Rooms
IP phones, conference units and meeting room displays are connected and tested, and extension numbers follow staff to their new desks.
Security Systems
CCTV, door access control and attendance devices can be installed as part of the same project so that cabling and network ports are planned once.
A Planned Move, Not a Scramble
Five stages that keep the IT workstream aligned with the rest of the fit-out.
Site Assessment
We visit the new premises, review drawings and record what exists at the current office.
Planning & Design
Network layout, equipment list, internet line requirements and a move schedule are agreed with you.
Infrastructure Installation
Cabling, rack, switches, firewall and Wi-Fi are installed and tested before any desks are occupied.
Move & Configuration
Equipment is relocated or unboxed, connected, configured and checked against the inventory.
Testing & Handover
Every desk, printer and system is tested, documentation is handed over and engineers stay for the first day.
Why Involve an IT Team Early in the Move
Decisions made during fit-out are expensive to change later. Early IT input avoids most of the problems that appear in week one.
Cabling Done Once
Data points are placed where desks, printers and access points will actually be, before walls and ceilings are finished.
Internet Ready on Time
Telecom line orders take time. We flag the requirement early so connectivity is not the item holding up the move.
Data Protected in Transit
Backups are verified before servers and storage are shut down and moved, so a transport mishap is recoverable.
One Accountable Team
A single Abu Dhabi-based provider handles cabling, network, servers and desktops, and supports them afterwards.
