Network Planning & Design
A network that is designed on paper first costs less to build and far less to run. VOWTECH plans LAN, WAN and wireless networks for offices, warehouses and multi-site companies in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and across the UAE, and hands you drawings, an addressing plan and an equipment list you can act on.
Decide on Paper, Not on Installation Day
Many networks are never designed at all. They start with a router and a switch, then grow a device at a time until the layout is an accident of history. The result is familiar: one flat network carrying everything, no spare ports where they are needed, and a single cheap switch whose failure would stop the whole office.
Network planning replaces that with deliberate decisions. How many users and devices must be supported now and in three years? Which systems need to be kept apart? Where should switches sit, and how are they linked? VOWTECH answers these questions in a written design that also covers the structured cabling and server room the network depends on.
The design is yours. You can use it to obtain comparable quotations, give it to your own IT team, or ask us to carry out the network installation. Either way, the people building the network are working from agreed drawings instead of making choices on a ladder.
Where a Network Design Is Worth Doing
The depth of a design depends on the starting point. These are the three scenarios we plan for most often.
New Premises
A new office, clinic, showroom or warehouse is the ideal moment to get the network right, because cable routes, rack location and power can still be influenced before ceilings close.
Redesign of an Existing Network
The business has grown but the network has not kept pace. We record the current state, identify bottlenecks and single points of failure, and design a target layout that can be reached in stages.
Multi-Site & Branch Design
Companies with a head office and branches need consistent addressing, secure links between sites and a standard branch layout that can be repeated each time a location opens.

Requirements & Capacity Planning
User numbers, device types, applications, voice, CCTV and growth plans are gathered first, because they decide port counts, uplink speeds and how much headroom to build in.
LAN & Switching Design
We set out the switching layers, uplinks between them, PoE requirements for phones, cameras and access points, and where redundancy is justified.
IP Addressing & VLAN Plan
A structured address scheme with separate segments for staff, guests, voice, CCTV, printers, servers and management, plus the rules for traffic between them.
Wireless Planning
Access point quantities and positions are planned from floor plans and construction materials, with attention to meeting rooms and other dense areas.
WAN, Internet & Resilience
Internet links, backup connections, branch connectivity and remote access are planned together so that an outage at one provider does not stop the business.
Security Built into the Layout
Firewall placement, segmentation and management access are designed in from the start instead of being bolted on after an incident.
From Requirements to an Agreed Design
Five stages that turn a conversation about your business into drawings an installer can follow.
Requirements Gathering
We meet the people who run the business and IT to understand users, systems, sites and plans.
Current Network Analysis
Where a network exists, we survey and document it so the design starts from facts.
Architecture Design
Topology, addressing, wireless, WAN and security are drawn up and explained in plain terms.
Implementation Planning
An equipment schedule, work sequence and cutover approach are prepared for the build.
Review & Refinement
We walk through the design with you, adjust it, and revisit it after installation if required.
What Good Network Design Gives You
The benefits of planning show up later, when the business changes and the network simply copes.
Growth Without Rework
Spare capacity and a clear addressing scheme mean new staff, floors and branches are additions, not rebuilds.
Comparable Quotations
A written equipment schedule lets you compare suppliers on the same basis.
Fewer Single Points of Failure
Weak links are identified on paper, where removing them is inexpensive.
Independent of Any One Product
Designs are based on requirements first; equipment is chosen to fit the design, not the other way round.
