VPN Appliances for Secure Remote & Branch Connectivity
A VPN appliance is the gateway that lets remote staff, branch offices and cloud environments reach your internal systems through encrypted tunnels. VOWTECH supplies, configures and supports VPN gateways for businesses in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and throughout the UAE.
The Gateway Behind Every Secure Connection
Whenever an employee opens a company file from home or a branch till talks to a head-office server, the traffic should travel inside an encrypted tunnel. The device that terminates those tunnels is the VPN appliance. It may be a dedicated gateway or a function of your firewall, depending on how many users and sites connect.
VOWTECH helps you decide which is appropriate and then delivers it: sizing for concurrent users and throughput, supply, installation, tunnel configuration, user authentication and client rollout. Where the VPN role belongs on the firewall, our firewall appliances page describes that hardware. Broader design topics are covered under VPN connectivity solutions.
A VPN gateway is an attractive target because it faces the internet and opens the door to the internal network. We therefore treat hardening as part of the job, including firmware kept current, multi-factor login, access limited per user group, and logging that can be reviewed through VPN and network monitoring.
Three Kinds of VPN Connection
Most businesses need at least two of these, and one appliance can normally provide all three.
Secure Remote Access
Individual users connect from laptops and phones using a VPN client. Each person authenticates personally and receives access only to the systems their role requires.
Site-to-Site VPN
A permanent encrypted tunnel between the gateways at two locations, so that branch networks reach head-office servers as though they were local. Users do not need to do anything.
Cloud VPN Integration
A tunnel from your office gateway to a virtual network in a public cloud platform, allowing cloud-hosted servers to be reached privately instead of over the open internet.
Supply, Configuration & Care
The elements of a VPN deployment that determine whether it is secure and pleasant to use.
Appliance Sizing & Supply
Gateways are selected on encrypted throughput and the number of simultaneous users and tunnels, not on the basic firewall rating, with allowance for growth.
Tunnel & Routing Design
Encryption settings, addressing and routing are planned so that sites do not overlap, and only business traffic or all traffic uses the tunnel, as you prefer.
Authentication & MFA
VPN logins are tied to your directory accounts, so leavers lose access automatically, and a second factor is added to prevent stolen passwords from being enough.
Client Rollout
VPN clients are installed and configured on company laptops and mobiles, with a short user guide and help for staff connecting for the first time.
Redundancy & Failover
Where remote access is business critical, a second appliance or second internet link keeps tunnels available if a device or line fails.
Support & Maintenance
Firmware updates, digital certificate renewals, user changes and connection troubleshooting are handled remotely, with site visits when hardware needs attention.
From Requirements to Connected Users
A VPN project touches every remote user, so rollout and communication matter as much as configuration.
Requirements
We establish who connects, from where, to which systems, and how many at the same time.
Design
Appliance, tunnel types, authentication method, addressing and access groups are defined.
Installation
The gateway is installed, updated, hardened and integrated with your firewall and directory.
Pilot & Rollout
A small pilot group tests first, then clients and instructions go to all remote users.
Testing & Handover
Failover, access restrictions and logging are verified and the configuration is documented.
Why VPN Deserves Proper Design
Remote access set up in a hurry is one of the most common weak points in business networks.
Encrypted End to End
Business data crossing home broadband, hotel Wi-Fi or mobile networks stays unreadable to others.
Access by Role
Remote users reach only the systems they need instead of the entire internal network.
Branches Feel Local
Offices in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and other emirates share applications and files over stable tunnels.
Help for Remote Staff
Users who cannot connect can reach VOWTECH support, which is available 24/7.
